make a difference

We know that when we engage in God’s vision and mission for The Gathering we are making a difference in someone else’s life, and in that process our lives become different, too.

Currently, 50% of our ministry leaders are homeless or formerly homeless. We believe everyone at The Gathering can lead someone else, but in our current context, we need more people who have the emotional, physical, and relational capacity to work side by side with potential new leaders.

The greatest opportunity for The Gathering to advance its vision in Middletown is to partner with other spiritual, community, and organizational leaders to provide stable living environments and adequate resources to train, mentor, and deploy new leaders for ministry in our urban core.

We invite you to discover and experience how God is moving in downtown Middletown through the people of the Gathering.

How to Get Involved

Each Sunday after services, The Gathering hosts a Sunday Community Lunch that has become a valuable time for both fellowship and relationship-building among our members and guests. We invite groups from other churches, community organizations, and area neighborhoods to host a Sunday lunch with us by providing, preparing, and serving a lunch one or more Sundays. For more information and details on how your group can serve The Gathering, call the church office -- 513-217-5131.

Partners Wanted

There is much work that needs to be done – and can be done best – together. We know when churches, civic organizations, social service agencies, corporate foundations, and private philanthropists team together and pool their ideas, talents, and resources – change happens and visions become reality. We want to bring together your outside leadership that shares our vision for restoring the community of Middletown.

Your support is crucial because our current leaders are challenged to find the time and resources to train and equip the next generation of leaders to lead in our urban context.
